Prichard-PR3 or Prichard-3 Periosteal Elevator is a double ended dental hand instrument used to elevate, reflect and retract the mucoperiosteum, exposing the underlying bone during oral surgeries. Featuring a thin, sharp round blade on the one end and flat wide blade on the other.
Prichard Periosteal Raspatory or Prichard-PR3 Elevator is one of the most commonly used dental hand instruments. It is used to cut periodontal ligaments and loosen teeth. It makes flap reflection and retraction extremely easy. In surgery dentist often needs to separate the bone or tooth from the periosteum. This is done with a periosteal elevator. The dentist may also use it to gain access to retained roots and surrounding bone.
One straight rounded end & one flat slightly curved end makes it a highly versatile instrument, that can be use in multiple mouth areas during surgical procedures. The light weight, hollow, round large diameter handle is used for enhanced ergonomics, tactile feel and optimal clinical performance.
